Dear Friends,

I want to express my deepest appreciation to all of you who encouraged me and worked tirelessly to support my candidacy for Richmond City Council.  As you have no doubt heard by now, neither Eduardo Martinez nor I won, with Eduardo coming in a close 4th, while I placed 5th. 

I have sent my congratulations to Nat Bates, Gary Bell and Tom Butt, who were the top three vote-getters. 

For me, the campaign has been a very rewarding part of our collective journey: rich in love, support, new relationships and deepened friendships.  Though it's disappointing that we did not prevail in this election, our work in and with the community most definitely continues. 

I am happy and blessed to know all of you, and you will still see me at meetings, gatherings,  events and riding my bicycle around town.

I continue to stand with the people of Richmond and look forward to working with you to achieve a more healthy, peaceful and equitable community.
